Exhibition of the collection The first Louis Vuitton Fine Jewellery collection, L’Ame du Voyage (The Spirit of Travel), will be exhibited at the Atrium space of the Champs-Elysées House from 15 October 2009.
Louis Vuitton Fine Jewellery is the legacy of know-how and creativity in constant renewal. This collection, signed by Lorenz Bäumer, is faithful to the spirit of the House, which has embodied the art of travel since 1854. An invitation to escape, it draws its inspiration from the mix of cultures and civilisations.
Going away, being attentive to the world, coming under the spell of faces, melodies or fragrances... A vast mosaic of impressions, a thousand facets, permeates these jewels. They tell a story, whisper memories, and awaken sensations. This is a journey where no path has been traced, allowing each woman to trace her own.
The Louis Vuitton Fine Jewellery collection will be shown to the public for the first time in the Atrium space of the Champs-Elysées House. It will bring to light the incredible audacity of its diamonds, the sparkling colours of its precious stones and the elusive voluptuousness of its gold laces.
Inaugurated in October 2005, the Champs-Elysées House prolongs the world’s most famous promenade within its own shop space. Conceived as a captivating itinerary of discovery along a succession of terraces set in a spiral, this promenade ends at the central core of the store: the Atrium space. The celestial vault, 20 metres high and comprised of 1900 metal rods, allows the light of day to enter.
